This year, BallerStatus.com and Tha Advocate hit a milestone with our free Digital Dynasty mixtapes series. Not only did we drop our 15th volume with Naughty By Nature, but we also hit 1 million downloads and counting.
Before we close out the year, we wanted to treat visitors of the site with one more before we begin putting together #16. So, Advo hooked up with the Wu-Tang Clan's Killah Priest, who will host Vol. 15.5 alongside him, which will plan to drop before Christmas and New Years.
"Man, we had to get one more Digital Dynasty out before the New Year. I wanted to come full circle before 2011," Advocate said of the upcoming release. "Killah Priest actually helped inspire the Digital Dynasty movement. The first mixtape myself and Ballerstatus.com put together was Mic Check 9.5 and he hosted it. That was before we came up with the Digital Dynasty brand.
"After talking with Priest, I figured it would be best to knock out 15.5 right before the New Year. And yea, Ima co-host it too! Let's get it."
With 15 volumes in the can -- collectively garnering over 1 million downloads and boasting such hosts as the Alchemist, Xzibit, N.O.R.E., DJ Drama, DJ Whoo Kid, and Crooked I, among others -- we all felt #15.5 would be a great close-out for 2010.
